Club Competitions
As well as entering teams in the Bournemouth and District and Dorset leagues, the Club runs 3 competitions, played through the season, so you can always have a competitive game every week even if your team is not playing.
The Tony Buckfield Handicap is a quick play tournament with the time allowed to play for each played adjusted for your grade.
The All-Play-All allows you to play up to 2 graded games per season against any club member.
The Club Knock-Out is a simple knock-out tournament for all members. The rules are:
1. 30 moves in 1 hour and then 15 minutes to complete game
2. Game counts for grading
3. If game drawn, then a 15 minute play-off with reverse colours; lower graded player goes through if still a draw
4. Players toss for colours
5. Games to be played by set dates
6. Report results to the Controller Ian Clark
